Ontario COVID-19 Screening Centre

Our health care professionals ensure that all personal and health information is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with relevant legislation, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). Now Testing does not make arrangements with public assessment centres, or pharmacies to conduct specimen collection.

Our health care professionals are responsible for satisfying all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, including those under the Laboratory and Specimen Collection Centre Licensing Act (LSCCLA), Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), PHIPA, Health Care Consent Act (HCCA), Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

Now Testing has a systematic procedure in place to provide follow up on test results as well as plans in place to respond should any individuals be exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19. All positive COVID-19 tests performed using a validated test are reported to the local public health unit in accordance with Regulation 682 made under the LSCCLA and the HPPA.

We believe that with better access to testing and through innovation in testing methods, Canada will be able to safely reopen its economy.
